Out of the shadow

I tried a new effect of a black gloss stencil in a black matt background.
I am going to try reversing the matt and gloss to see if the effect works better.
All in all I am happy with the outcome.
The top two are angled shots so that you can see it under different lighting.
The bottom left is the same stencil on my "practicing board" and the bottom
right is the stencil on canvas with the correct lighting.

The story of ANTI.

After playing a lot of video games and spending lots of time online, I didn't like always typing my name in. I wanted to have a name that would be mysterious and cool, as well as, have some meaning behind it. At this time, I was spending a lot of time reading the news paper during my breaks at work. Any time there was a word with the prefix anti- to it, the word just popped out at me. I thought, man it would be sweet to come up with a cool word that had anti- in it. I liked anti-hero as a tag but then was reminded that that's a punk band. Back at work I began cutting out all the words starting with anti: anti-semitism, anti-racism, anti-gaming, anti-milk, anti-war. I thought anti-war was pretty good, however, who would put a commander in charge of the terran race (starcraft computer game) with the name

anti-war. Then it dawned on me I SHOULD JUST USE THE PREFIX. That way I can pick what I am against and not just be limited to one thing.

After a while, I put the Anti tag infront of my name. I have always been a bit critical of myself and the idea of my alterego actually being against me made sense. My belief is that humans are basicly evil and Anti-Doug is the the force that keeps Doug in check.
